Description

This bronze elk sculpture is a study in dynamic texture, form, and rich patina finishes.

• Form & Pose: Sculpted in a relaxed, resting posture, the elk reclines gracefully with its body tucked beneath it, head turned sharply to look over its right shoulder. The muscular anatomy, ribcage structure, and subtle neck folds are emphasized through defined contours.

• Antler Structure: A prominent, wide-sweeping rack of multi-tined antlers extends upward and outward, featuring fine, realistic surface texturing along the main beams and points.

• Patina & Coloration: The surface features a multi-layered patina with a deep, rich reddish-brown base tone. Striking verdigris and turquoise-green highlights settle into the recesses, muscle grooves, and lower crevices, providing depth and value contrast.
