Description
This life-size elk sculpture by Eric Thorsen shows a bull elk lying at rest, head raised and crowned with a sweeping rack of antlers. Rather than detailed fur, Thorsen shaped the elk with smooth, flowing surfaces that let light move across the body, giving a classic wildlife subject a clean, contemporary look.
The finish blends deep brown tones with green verdigris highlights that deepen the folds of the legs, neck and antlers. Standing 5 feet tall, the elk has true presence in a room or landscape.
A Life-Size Elk Sculpture for Lodge or Landscape
Shown both in a lodge great room on a wood and steel plinth and outdoors beside a mountain home, the piece works as a commanding centerpiece indoors or as a striking focal point in a garden, entry court or public space. Bull elk are one of the most iconic animals of the Rocky Mountains, and this sculpture brings their quiet strength home.
Height: 5 feet
