Aspen Reflections

Description

A still mountain river winds between stands of white-barked aspens, their trunks and turning leaves mirrored in deep blue water. Loose, painterly strokes soften the far valley and hazy blue mountains, while the foreground water is laid in with rich, dark tones that give the painting a quiet, contemplative mood.

A peaceful Western landscape by Eric Thorsen that brings the calm of an autumn morning in the Rockies indoors.
