Creek Crossing

Description

A gray wolf picks its way across a rocky mountain creek, one forepaw stepping into the cold, clear water as sunlight warms its tawny coat. Behind it, dark evergreens and a sunlit snowy peak set the scene deep in the high country.

Eric Thorsen lays in the boulders and rippling reflections with bold, broken strokes of oil paint, giving the whole scene a sense of light and quiet movement. A striking portrait of one of the West’s most iconic predators.
