Elk Walking 28″

Description

Elk Walking is a bronze bull elk by Eric Thorsen, measuring 711 mm (28 inches) long. The bull steps across a rocky outcrop. His head is turned slightly toward the viewer, and a full rack of antlers sweeps up and back. One front hoof is planted beside a fallen branch, as if he paused mid-stride to check the wind before moving on through the timber.

Thorsen models the elk with careful attention to anatomy: the heavy neck and shaggy mane, the deep chest, and the lean, muscled legs of an animal built to cover rough mountain country. The textured surface catches light across the shoulders and flanks, and a warm brown patina brings out every detail of the coat and antlers.

At 28 inches long, this bronze elk sculpture makes a strong statement on a sideboard, desk, mantel or pedestal in a home, lodge or office. It’s a natural fit for hunters, ranchers and anyone who loves the elk of the Rocky Mountain West.
