Description
This bronze stallion sculpture captures a horse at the peak of its power and spirit. In Rearing Stallion Sculpture, Eric Thorsen portrays a stallion rising onto its hind legs, forelegs tucked, neck arched, and mane and tail streaming with movement. The defined musculature of the shoulders, flanks, and hindquarters, the alert ears, and the flaring nostrils are sculpted with the anatomical accuracy and energy that define Thorsen’s equine work.
Standing 26 inches tall, this sculpture makes a striking centerpiece for a home, office, ranch, or collection. It is shown here in two finishes: a rich brown bronze patina and a painted pinto (paint horse) patina. It comes standard on a 2-inch-tall hand-finished walnut base; the taller walnut block base shown in the photos is available as an option. Please contact the gallery for details.
