Description

Family distills the bond between parents and child into pure, flowing form. Two tall, sinuous figures rise from a single shared base, each crowned with a gleaming sphere, curving toward one another until they meet. Nestled in the hollow of their embrace, a smaller sphere is cradled and protected, held by the very shape of the forms around it.

Eric Thorsen worked the bronze to a deep, mirror-like finish, letting warm copper tones glow through a dark patina so light travels across every curve. The open, continuous lines invite the eye to move around the sculpture again and again, revealing new relationships from every angle. Mounted on a polished black marble base, Family is a meaningful gift for new parents, an anniversary, or anyone who treasures the ties that hold a family together.
